It’s Spring

Springtime

Or at least it feels that way here in L.A. And springtime means that Easter — or as it is more properly called, Resurrection Sunday — is almost here. Easter is just five weeks away, and one of the things that I look forward to about Easter is spending time with family and friends and enjoying a meal.

And I like to be ready in case I am the one called on to prepare it, or to participate in preparing it in anyway, by creating a menu first.

To do so, I check out some of my favorite websites for recipe ideas and try to narrow them down. There are so many to choose from that this is no easy task! One of the things I try to keep in mind, especially for a religious holiday, is tradition. That means ham is a must, for example. I also try to keep health in mind, so I try to add in some skinny or vegan versions of recipes if possible and not to go crazy on the carbs!
